Welcome to Vanora Kennel, a registered kennel with the Canadian Kennel Club. Vanora Kennel got its name from the Scottish Gaelic language.Vanora is a Gaelic word that when translated means "White Wave" .

I  felt it was an appropriate name, given the fact we produce the Scottish Sporting Breed known as Gordon Setters and also that we are located on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia; along the Atlantic Ocean! Cape Breton Island is rich in Scottish traditions and folklore.

Vanora Kennel is the culmination of a lot of hard work, education and a keen vision to create a kennel that ethically promotes the breeds of dogs I enjoy. Thank you for taking the time to check out our site and feel free to contact me if you have any questions etc.
